Professora Bia of Origens do Brasil and her family are not only suffering from the tragic loss of her sister-in-law, Fatima, but are enduring an injustice as well, as the man who murdered Fatima has seemingly gotten off scot-free. Graduado Kung Fu, who runs the Oficina da Capoeira in Chichester, UK, took action to help his fellow capoeirista and friend.

It seems like every other day, we hear about another capoeira group that is flourishing in their own corner of the world. It’s great to see them get local or even national news coverage, which can only benefit the group and help it reach more people. Earlier this week, a local news outlet in Bournemouth, England posted a story on Origens do Brasil, a capoeira group that has been alive and well in Bournemouth for many years.
