Online social news network Rappler.com recently published the newest entry in their Gameplan series, featuring Kadara Capoeira of Manila, the Philippines. The entry’s focus is a smooth and inspiring video led by new Gameplan host Mara Lopez and captures the experience of her first capoeira class.

Joseph Pagulayan, country director of an international capoeira school named Kadara Capoeira, shared what these songs conveyed. “There’s this (Brazilian) Capoeira song that perfectly says it all. (In English), it just says that capoeira is the blood in my veins. Every time you hear the berimbau play, you feel a vibration in your body. And your legs want to start moving. It’s like your spirit is lifted,” he said.
Associação Kadara Capoeira was founded in 2013 in Sydney, Australia by Mestre Cicatriz, with the guidance of Mestre Lotar. In addition to Australia and the Philippines, Kadara has branches in Brazil, Canada, and Indonesia.

You can learn more about Kadara Capoeira at their official website, http://www.capoeira.com.ph/.

The Gameplan TV Facebook page describes the series as, “a sports show that’ll go in the air, on the ground, and in the water to bring you the action,” and is brought to you by Rappler.com.
